The Réal’s Challenge this Saturday April 3rd
The Réal’s Challenge, thought by the visionary of Mont SUTTON, Real Boulanger, is to make sure the mountain, which usually closes at 4p.m., doesn't close before sunset on that day. In fact, for the event, the chairlift II will stay in operation as long as there is at least two people every two chairs. Therefore, the closing time will depend only on the skiers and snowboarders determination or on the sun! A gathering event for skiers that livens up the mountain and even the terrace of the Bar Le Tucker.
Easter at the mountain
This Sunday to celebrate Easter, there will be several activities for the whole family at Mont SUTTON and of course, a lot of surprises!
A giant rabbit has been living at Mont SUTTON for a few days… On Easter Sunday, try to find it! If you get it, maybe the rabbit will give you some treats and a coupon to win a big Easter chocolate!
For the occasion, treat yourself with delicious taffy on snow, which will be served for free from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. beside the main chalet. Also, enjoy the sugaring season with the “Sugaring season plate” at the cafeteria of chalet Alt.400m.
Snow on the Beach : A party and a show not to be missed!
For the pleasure of the spectators, on Saturday April 10th, the participants will cross a lake on skis or snowboard… wearing a funny outfit! On the program : volleyball games on snow, BBQ with diversified grills, prizes for the participants, the spectators and winners, festive ambiance with music and good laughs! Without forgetting the Splash Party at the Bar Le Tucker until late in the evening! Fun guaranteed! Details and registrations at montsutton.com.
For this 6th edition, a part of the money received will be donated to the Boulanger-Bédard Foundation that aids in the work of youth health organizations.
It is still soon to put your skis in the closet, because there is still a lot of fun to come on the Mont SUTTON trails before the end of the season on April 11th!

Recording of a lip dub at Mont SUTTON
posted on 01-25-2010
On Saturday, January 30th, skiers and snowboarders will hit the Mont SUTTON’s trails while singing, because a lip dub will be recorded on the song “
Celebration” for the 50th season of the mountain, with the collaboration of
CKOI and
Publici-Terre.
Everyone who wants to participate to the lip dub is invited to the CKOI stand at 8:30 a.m., close to the main chalet. Welcome to everyone, and of course with all the family!
The entertainment at the après-ski at the Bar Le Tucker will be done by CKOI.
What is a lip dub?
It is a new phenomenon on the Web, that is just getting more popular. A lip dub is a video recorded in only 1 sequence, during which all the extras are doing a lip-sync on a specific song. The only editing that requires a lip dub is adding the original soundtrack on the video and to synchronize the lip-sync. Then, the lip dub is webcasted.
And more for the 50th season…
Several activities and promotions will take place all through the 50th season at Mont SUTTON. Details at
montsutton.com.

Sport, Fresh Air and Learning: a Matchless Combination!

8 weekends programs
The SUTTON Snow School’s weekend programs last 8 Saturdays or Sundays. A different thematic is scheduled every week for the Little Scouts Club and for the Explorers Club. The SUTTON Snow School starts its programs on January 9th for the Saturday’s lesson and on January 10th for the Sunday’s lesson:
- Little Scouts Club - 3 to 5 years old
- Explorers Club - 6 to 13 years old
- Racers Club on ski and, new this year, on snowboard - 6 to 13 years old

For more happy memories, each student registered to an 8 weekends program will receive this year a free individual and group photo.
Lessons for adults on weekdays
There is no age to learn or to improve your skills! Even at an advanced level of ski or snowboard, it is pleasant to learn additional tips to take even more advantage of the trails and to increase the challenge! The SUTTON Snow School offers several programs for adults only on weekdays:
- The Divas on skis Salomon: from January 14th, and this, for 7 consecutive Thursdays. Women will be honoured during this period! Special lessons for women are organized and $ 2 per

SUTTON’s improvements for the 2009-2010 season
posted on 11-11-2009
Mont SUTTON starts its 50th season of operation this year, a season that will be full of excitement and celebrations, beginning with the traditional anniversary day this December 17th. On that day, lovers of Winter sports will ski for $ 5, the yesteryear price. The calendar of activities surrounding the 50th season will be available online shortly at montsutton.com. Be alert not to miss anything! For now, here are the innovations introduced this year by the Mont SUTTON.
Family ski with ease and security!
Mont SUTTON is well known for its glades acclaimed across Canada. Another wealth of the mountain, that defines Mont SUTTON as unique, is its natural boundary of 3 different areas of different skill levels : one side expert, another one intermediate and beginner. This year, to better meet the needs of kids and other beginners, Mont SUTTON packaged several elements and created new services all in one family area, making the family ski outings more pleasant and safer.
With its Family Zone, Mont SUTTON offers more than ever this year a complete range of facilities all located in a same area. In the lunch room already offering healthy meals and a daycare service, where it is possible to combine daycare and snow school lessons, animation for the enjoyment of kids will also be on schedule this year. Also new, a dedicated drop off zone in the parking lot, picnic tables in the beginner lessons area and a flag at the entrance of the Zone to promote a reduced speed in this family area. Finally, to the “Forêt des merveilles” will be added a new Fun Park with modules for kids on skis! The family will really find everything they need to entertain children and even parents!
In addition to the lift ticket for the chairlift IIw (the Family Zone chairlift) at a reduced price, here is a new product transferable perfect for the pp days and the Spring Break: the SUTTON Familiflex Card. This card allows different members of a family to ski more for less. It includes 6 tickets for adults and 6 tickets for children (17 years old and under) transferable, PLUS an hour lesson for an adult with a child. All this for only $ 349 taxes included. For more information: montsutton.com/promotions.
It is warm at SUTTON!
Because there is nothing like a well deserved rest after a day of skiing, the Bar Le Tucker has been expanded and fitted out with a new lounge doted with fireplace and couches for comfortable after-ski “like nowhere else”. Do not miss the menu prepared by the renowned chef of the resort, available at the Bar Le Tucker and at the Carlsberg Lounge, only. Nice encounters and good times guaranteed!
To give more comfort to skiers and snowboarders, another fireplace has also been installed at the chalet Alt.680m. The Winter sports fanatics will find a warm and pleasant place, where it is easy to share quality time while enjoying a creamy hot chocolate at the summit. In addition to offering an amazing panorama in a warmthful ambiance, this place is now even more perfect for hosting corporate or private events.
Some other news in brief :
- New programs at the Snow School:
o Discovery packages for beginners;
o Racers Club Elite;
o Initiation to Telemark package;
o Racers Club for snowboarders 6 to 13 years old;
o Snow Park camp on Christmas and on March Break;
o Special clinic on weekdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, adapted to the snow
conditions of the day.
- Catering service with elaborated new menus for private and corporate events.
- New webcam at the top to follow the many snowfalls at Mont SUTTON and to view the significant difference of precipitation and temperature between the base of the mountain and the summit. A 4˚C difference between the base of the mountain and the summit to an even 8˚C from the Sutton village.
All these improvements have been implemented to offer the best ski to the Winter enthusiasts, children, teenagers or adults. Unforgettable moments await you on this 50th season at Mont SUTTON, where we celebrate the pleasure and the passion of skiing.
