Team report
Good morning skiers and snowboarders.
Wow! Mother Nature gave us a nice surprise this morning! We’ve had 11 cm of snow at the base and over 16 cm at the summit in the last 24 hours, and it’s still going! A pretty white landscape awaits you on the mountain, on this magical eve of the arrival of spring. What could be better on this beautiful Tuesday than to put on your skis and enjoy the mountain? With family or friends, it’s the perfect time to indulge yourself. At Mont Sutton, there’s something for every style of skier.
Lifts IIo, II, IV are in operation, giving you access to 37 trails and glades early in the day. Trail status may be upgraded upon inspection by the patrol.
Today, we start the day with a nice layer of powder on a firm, granulated base, crusty in places. The snow could be heavier in some areas. Good snow cover throughout the ski area. On the natural snow slopes and in the glades, slippery, thinner passages could hide under this new snow. Especially in the steeper sectors. Minimal grooming has been carried out in the ski area.
At 5 o’clock this morning, the observed temperature was -6 degrees. Snow showers are expected to be intermittent throughout the day.
The Chalet Alt. 400m’ restaurant is open and the Chalet Alt. 840m at the summit is open as a refuge.
The alpine touring trail Est is open but the tarils Ouest et Farwest are closed. Alpine touring on the ski slopes (designated and open) is only permitted between 7am and 8:30am and from 4:30pm to 8pm. Details on montsutton.com/alpinetouring
