Hiking and camping at the Parc Sutton


Hiking and snowshoeing are just two of the many activities to enjoy in this park. With more than 80 km (50 mi.) of marked trails, there are loops ranging from two hours to several days. Yours to discover: four peaks, four mountain lakes and breathtaking views. Refuge and camping at the top of Mount Sutton. Leashed dogs permitted.

On the road help to bikers : Bike-taxi


Cyclists who are too tired to peddle any further, who have broken down or who simply don't want retrace their route, can now call the taxi-velo - a " bike taxi " - to get them back to base. This innovative service is available all along the designated bike trails, every single day, around the clock. You don't even have to book in advance. Just call and a taxi will come to pick you up within the hour. The vehicles can carry four cyclists and their bikes. And the cost? $40 for the first 30 kilometres and $1.45 for every kilometre thereafter.

Cycling around the Sutton Mountains: a marvellous two-day bike ri


Which cyclist has not dreamt of an ideal ride? A camp-and-bike ride, of medium length and difficulty, with settings varying from little towns with great charm, quiet rides across fields and the warmth of country reception. Here is what brings you the 73 km ride around the SUTTON Mountains.
 You leave SUTTON by the south and head for Glen Sutton. Then, you cross the District of Potton and its historical villages of Dunkin and Highwater. Mansonville is half way and you enjoy the overnight rest. Once rested, you ride towards Bolton-South and Knowlton before coming back to SUTTON by the Lac Echo Road. A true delight for whom likes the bike and inspiring less known places.
 Tired cyclists or those in need of a repair can call taxi-vélo. Many other bikepaths, some shorter and for everyone’s pleasure are available around Sutton. These bikepaths can be viewed on the dynamic map Cantons de l’Est à vélo. You will find your starting point, the city of Sutton, where the blue and orange paths meet, in the center of your screen.

Panoramaduodlacôte 2008


Many activities, at the mountain as well as in the village, will be part of the Panoramaduodlacôte 2008 program, every weekend from September 20 to October 20.
 Celebrate autumn as part of the autumn festival in Sutton “ Panoramaduodlacôte”, ride the ski lift or walk the trails and reach the summit of the mountain to admire one of the most breath-taking views in all Eastern Townships. Many activities as well as outdoor games are also offered; from workshops on healing plants, to painting, to landscape photography, mycology, corporate sport challenges and many more. For your ultimate well-being, open-air sessions of taï chi and yoga on the mountain are scheduled. Animation, music, BBQ, and packages including accommodation are available.

On the menu this Fall, from September 20th to October 12th: Friday and Saturday evenings include performances by many well-known Montreal and Eastern Townships Jazz musicians.
